SCORE Bucks County
The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) was formed in 1964. It is a national organization of business executives who left their businesses and now help others with the skills and knowledge they’ve gained. It’s a Small Business Administration (SBA) program whose members provide free consultation on whatever challenge you face. The local chapter serves small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Bucks County and Eastern Montgomery County, PA.
They provide free mentoring services, educational workshops, and webinars. The mentoring program is SCORE’s core service offering. Mentors work with their clients to address critical issues and teach best practices concerning starting and growing a business. Their efforts include:
- Writing business plans
- Developing products
- Conceiving and executing marketing strategies
- Hiring staff
You can learn essential lessons from SCORE volunteers instead of learning by doing and failing.
